1956 Series I Land Rover

Used by C Platoon in the 1950's. Known as The Bulled Up Landy.  For the exclusive use of Senior Officers on the ranges and manouvers, also used as a saluting platform. 

The Series I Land Rover, I really believed would be simple.  Being alloy, already fitted with a new bulkhead and all the underneath in good shape, I thought 'easy'.  But once again I was caught out.  There are so many different parts to a Landy, although easy to remove, took hours to clean and prime for painting.  C Platoon's Landy was not bog standard, it was bulled up with extra chrome and carpets, as it was used for manouvers and saluting platforms for Senior Officers.  I have tried to replicate this vehicle to the best of my memory, but I was not a regular driver of this vehicle.
