1957 Standard Vanguard Standard Vanguard in the 1950's

This was the 1957 Standard Vanguard Phase III, the first model.  When it was delivered in 1958, you could only compare it to a spaceship, it was so streamlined.  It was used exclusively by the Senior Medical Officer.  It broke all records for daily mileage. 


This one was easy, although I removed 3 full dustbin bags of paint, the body was very solid with little filler.  Spray painting in progress
